THE BEME SCIENCE STANDARD

Specific peptides. Visible amounts. Honest timelines.

Collagen is not one job. BeMe uses five named Bioactive Collagen Peptides® programs studied for different structural tissues—then shows you the amount in every sachet.

TARGETED BY DESIGN

Collagen is a family of tissues—not a single outcome.

Different peptide compositions have been researched for different tissues and outcomes. That is why BeMe formulates by goal instead of hiding a generic collagen blend behind one broad promise.

The five named peptide programs

01 · WHITE TISSUE5g in PROTECT

TENDOFORTE®

Tendons + ligaments

Studied in active adults for connective-tissue structure and function, including research involving ankle instability and Achilles tendon rehabilitation.

Timeline: connective-tissue studies commonly assess outcomes over several months.
02 · CARTILAGE5g in MOVE

FORTIGEL®

Joint cartilage

A specific collagen peptide composition researched for joint comfort, function and cartilage metabolism in active and aging populations.

Timeline: some joint endpoints are assessed from 6–12 weeks; structural studies run longer.
03 · BONE5g in MOVE

FORTIBONE®

Bone matrix

Researched as a nutritional approach to support bone collagen metabolism and bone mineral density alongside the foundations of bone health.

Timeline: bone research is long-term, with key human studies running 12 months.
04 · MUSCLE16.7g in BUILD

BODYBALANCE®

Lean muscle + body composition

Studied with resistance training for changes in body composition, muscle strength and function. It complements—not replaces—complete dietary protein.

Timeline: featured training studies assess outcomes over approximately 12 weeks.
05 · DERMAL2.5g in GLOW

VERISOL®

Skin, hair + nails

Beauty peptides researched for skin elasticity and wrinkle appearance, with separate longer-duration studies examining hair and nail outcomes.

Timeline: skin assessments begin around 4–8 weeks; hair and nail studies run longer.
HOW WE READ THE EVIDENCE

Match the study—not just the trend.

A scientific ingredient name alone is not enough. We look at the peptide composition, the daily amount and the timeframe used in the relevant research.

01

Ingredient-specific

The researched peptide composition should match the ingredient in the finished formula—not merely the category “collagen.”

02

Amount-specific

Every BeMe sachet states the named peptide and amount, allowing you to compare the formula with its evidence base.

03

Time-specific

Structural tissues adapt on different timelines. We set realistic expectations rather than promising overnight transformation.

FEATURED HUMAN EVIDENCE

Read the study in context.

These are ingredient studies—not trials of the finished BeMe formulas. We show the population, amount, duration, outcome and a limitation so you can judge relevance for yourself.

PROTECTTENDOFORTE®

Ankle function in active adults

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled · 50 active adults · 5g daily · 6 months

Reported outcome

Subjective ankle stability scores improved versus placebo; mechanical ankle stiffness did not differ significantly between groups.

Keep in mind: participants had chronic ankle instability. This does not establish an effect in every healthy adult or test the finished PROTECT formula.
Dressler et al., 2018 · PubMed ↗
MOVE · JOINTSFORTIGEL®

Activity-related knee discomfort

Randomized, placebo-controlled · 180 active adults aged 18–30 · 5g daily · 12 weeks

Reported outcome

Exercise-related knee discomfort decreased more than placebo. Resting discomfort, post-squat discomfort and mobility did not differ significantly.

Keep in mind: participants had activity-related discomfort but no diagnosed joint disease. The study assessed the ingredient, not MOVE.

MOVE · BONEFORTIBONE®

Bone density in a studied population

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled · 180 postmenopausal women with reduced bone mineral density · 5g daily · 12 months

Reported outcome

Bone mineral density at the spine and femoral neck improved versus placebo, alongside changes in selected bone-turnover markers.

Keep in mind: the result is specific to the studied population and does not make MOVE a treatment for low bone density.
König et al., 2018 · PubMed ↗
BUILDBODYBALANCE®

Body composition with resistance training

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled · 77 premenopausal women · 15g daily · 12 weeks · training 3× weekly

Reported outcome

The collagen group had greater changes in fat-free mass, fat mass and hand-grip strength than the placebo group alongside the same training program.

Keep in mind: body composition used bioelectrical impedance. BODYBALANCE® was studied with training and is not a complete-protein replacement.
Jendricke et al., 2019 · PubMed ↗
GLOWVERISOL®

Skin elasticity in women

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled · 69 women aged 35–55 · 2.5g or 5g daily · 8 weeks

Reported outcome

Skin elasticity improved versus placebo after eight weeks. Moisture and transepidermal water-loss findings did not reach significance in the full study population.

Keep in mind: each study arm included 23 women. The trial assessed VERISOL®, not the finished GLOW formula or every beauty outcome.
